For Non-U.S. Company/Business Units Initiating Operations or Transactions in the USA: UCC and U.S. Business Transactions Training

Successfully conducting business and reducing legal risk and other problematic situations in the United States requires a fundamental understanding of the country’s relevant business laws, the Uniform Commercial Code and compliance best practices. The course focuses on understanding and applying the Uniform Commercial Code (and actually making it fully engaging!), as well as other relevant rules and regulations. Using Seyfarth at Work’s hallmark imprinting mantras, visuals and scripts, this interactive, live course reviews how contracts are enforced in the U.S. and provides general tips when contracting with U.S. companies and individuals. As appropriate, key regulations, court decisions and latest key trends and liabilities are explored, as well as an introductory overview of the U.S. legal system, as needed.

Course modules are customized to your environment and may include: How are terms and conditions utilized and interpreted in the U.S.?; What do “statements,” “warranties,” “declarations,” and “affidavits” mean and how important are they?; Product Liability Risks; Implied Warranties; and Reporting and Escalation. Business teams have called this course “an immensely practical overview of the legal issues that one might encounter when doing business in the U.S.”
